M5 traffic LIVE: Motorway shut after serious crash with air ambulance on the scene Newspoint  |  2025-08-10T21:39:10+08:00

The M5 motorway has been closed after a serious crash, sparking major delays. The accident happened on the southbound side of the motorway at around 9.30am this morning and an air ambulance has now landed at the scene. Traffic was being held between junctions 28 and 29.

National Highways said: "The M5 southbound in Devon is closed between J28 (Cullompton) and J29 (Exeter Airport) due to a serious collision which occurred shortly after 09:30am this morning. Devon & Cornwall Police and emergency services are on scene, being assisted by National Highways Traffic Officers."
