Manchester United's recent signings demonstrate that the club continues to be a dream destination due to the Red Devils' legacy. RubenAmorimhas welcomed three new forwards this summer, even after missing out on European football.
United may have had concerns about their allure in the transfer market after finishing 15th in the Premier League and suffering defeat in the Europa League final last season. A disappointing league season and missing out on a Champions League spot would not have bolstered Amorim's hopes of landing his top targets. However, United's latest move in the transfer market saw striker Benjamin Sesko pick the club over Newcastle United. Fellow newcomers Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have already explained why players remain eager to make the move to Old Trafford.
Upon becoming United's first summer signing, Cunha said: "It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player. Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt. I want to thank my family and everyone who has helped me make that dream a reality."
Echoing Cunha's sentiments, Mbeumo revealed he had also grown up a United fan, underscoring the club's enduring appeal: "As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up."
The legacy of Sir Alex Ferguson's successful sides continues to resonate, even with young talents like 22-year-old Sesko. "The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future," he said. "When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon."
While United have been successful in landing their prime targets, it provides a stark comparison to Newcastle's summer business. Despite last season's achievements, winning the Carabao Cup and achieving Champions League qualification, they've seen players like Mbeumo and Sesko opt for rival clubs.
United manager Amorim will be excited by the prospect of his revamped strike force. With Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee falling short last season, Amorim is confident that Sesko can spearhead United's attack.

"He has the characteristics that we needed," Amorim told MUTV. "Ben is a player - with all the information that we have - that we need to stop the guy from working, not the opposite!
"So that is also important. He's really young. He's good in the air, he's good at running the channels, good on the ball. I think he has great potential. I think he can improve a lot and, for sure, he is going to feel at home in our club. He has the right character to be in this group, so I'm really happy to have him."
Yet, United's summer overhaul is far from over. Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, who commands a hefty £100m valuation, is United's latest target as they aim to strengthen another key area of the squad.
The Red Devils heralded the return of club legend David De Gea to Old Trafford in their last pre-season game on Saturday. United played out a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina, with Amorim fine-tuning his side ahead of their season opener against Arsenal next Sunday.
