Tamil actor Kamal Hassan is facing trouble for his recent speech during an event hosted by Kollywood star Surya. Small screen actor Ravichandran has threatened to hack the actor to death for his anti-Santan comment during the event.

Tamil small screen actor Ravichandran, during a recent interview with a YouTube channel, made defamatory comments against the Makkal Needhi Maiam leader for making anti-Sanatan speech. Ravichandran charged Kamal Haasan is a naive politician and he "would slit his throat" for making anti-Sanatan comments.
Recently, Jai Bhim star Surya hosted an event in Chennai to celebrate 15 years of his NGO, Agaram Foundation. The NGO offers support to underprivileged children. Addressing at the event, Haasan criticised the Centre for introducing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and charged it has crumbled MBBS dreams of several students. Charging it was an ill outcome of Sanatan dharma, Hassan said only education can "break shackles of Sanatan".
Haasan's statement has annoyed right-wing politicians. Ravichandran, a small screen actor, lambasted Haasan for his comments and said he "would slit his throat".
Meanwhile, Makkal Needhi Maiam leaders petitioned with Chennai police and demanded action against Ravichandran. In the petition, MNM leaders charged that Ravichandran has issued a death threat against their leader and demanded action against him.
