On initial deployment, the stations will have 3 driverless trains stationed and running in intervals of 25 minutes.How Much Does a Ticket Cost?Riding the Yellow Line has its perks – for one, the fares are quite low, starting at just ₹10 for short hops and going up to a maximum of ₹90 for the full journey. This pricing strategy has been implemented to help ease traffic congestion, as it incentivizes commuters to leave their cars at home and use the metro instead.Interconnected City, Big InvestmentIn the future, the Yellow Line is expected to connect with the Pink and Blue Metro lines, transforming Jayadeva Hospital and Central Silk Board into major interchange hubs. The Silk Board station is also set to gain significant importance with the Blue Line, which will extend all the way to the Bengaluru International Airport.The Yellow Line project has been built at a cost of ₹5,057 crore. Along with the launch today, Prime Minister Modi will also be laying the foundation stone for Namma Metro’s Phase 3, which is yet another high impact addition to the Bangalore urban infrastructure.
