The Mumbai Traffic Police has announced the implementation of special traffic restrictions on 12 August 2025 around the famous Shri Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi. On this day, the festival of Sankashti Chaturthi will be celebrated, in which a large number of devotees are expected to arrive.
According to officials, “A large number of devotees will visit Sri Siddhivinayak Temple, Prabhadevi, which can affect traffic on the surrounding routes. So temporary traffic restrictions are being implemented on August 12.” This ban will be applicable from 6 am to 12 pm.
Apart from this, there will also be a change in the movement of vehicles on Gokhale Road (North and South), Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg, Sayani Road and Appasaheb Marathe Marg.
The police have clarified that the local residents living around the Siddhivinayak temple will be given admission as per requirement. Vehicle drivers have been advised to adopt an alternative route, follow the traffic sign board and follow the instructions of traffic personnel on duty. The purpose of these restrictions is to ensure the safety of devotees and local citizens and keep the traffic smooth.
