R Madhavan, who has completed 25 years in the India cinema, was recently in Aap Jesa Koi, Kesari Chapter 2, Test and many more. The actor recently talked about how he was tricked by a compelling deepfake video that purported to show football player Cristiano Ronaldo complimenting cricket player Virat Kohli. The video showed the football player referring to Virat Kohli as a legend and praising his batting. The Aap Jesa Koi actor proudly shared the video and even put it on Instagram, but Anushka Sharma alerted him.

R Madhavan told Zee TV Me that he watched a video of Cristiano Ronaldo complimenting Virat Kohli and thought it was real when asked if he had ever been scammed. The video that he released showed Ronaldo complimenting the cricket player. He recalled, "Yeah, in fact, one of the Reels that I saw had somebody praising Virat Kohli to high heavens. In fact, I think it was Ronaldo…how much he enjoyed watching Kohli bat and how much of a legend he thought he was. And I proudly forwarded that, I put it on Instagram and then I got a message from Anushka saying bhai, it’s a fraud, it’s AI."

R Madhavan acknowledged that, despite the embarrassment, he gained knowledge about checking what people post online. "It’s really embarrassing, like, oh! So even somebody like me who is pretty aware was completely taken away. And then, when she told me the flaws, I realised, arey haan, yeh to bada gadbad hain (yes, this is an issue). So one has to be very careful that whatever you’re forwarding is very credible," he shared.

Meanwhile, on the work front, R Madhavan appeared in Test with Nayanthara and Siddharth. He also impressed with his performance in Aap Jaisa Koi with Fatima Sana Shaikh. The movie is currently streamin on Netflix. The 55th International feature Festival of India had the world premiere of his most recent feature, Hisaab Barabar, which was directed by Ashwni Dhir. The ZEE5 movie is about a train ticket inspector exposes corruption through questionable bank transactions. 

Anushka Sharma's much awaited biopic on cricketer Jhulan Goswami, Chakda Xpress has apparently been cancelled. Renuka Shahane praised Anushka's dedication to the part and the movie's significance in promoting women's sports, apart from expressing her disappointment at the news.
