Selection Process

The selection process for IOB Apprentices will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Online Written Test – The exam will last 90 minutes, featuring 100 questions worth 100 marks.

    • Subjects include:

      • General Awareness

      • English Language

      • Quantitative Aptitude

      • Logical Reasoning

      • Computer Knowledge / Subject Knowledge

    • Each subject will have 25 questions worth 1 mark each.

    • Candidates must take the test online at the scheduled time using their own desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a functioning camera.

  2. Local Language Proficiency Test – Applicants must demonstrate fluency (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the official local language of the state they are applying for.

  3. Personal Interview – Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview round to assess communication skills, banking knowledge, and overall suitability.

  • General, OBC, EWS: ₹944

  • Women, SC, ST: ₹708

  • PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): ₹472

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

  2. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

    • General & EWS: 20 to 28 years

      • Candidates must have been born between 01.08.1997 and 01.08.2005 (both dates inclusive).

    • Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD categories as per government norms.

  3. Language Requirement:

    • Applicants must be fluent in the local language of the state for which they are applying, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand it.
