Local authorities have confirmed the discovery of the body of Acquene Arradaza, who won the 2012 Miss Matag-ob pageant, after she was abducted by three unidentified armed men.

According to The Manila Timesthe beauty queen’s body was found floating off the coast of Leyte, the Philippines.
Arradaza was last seen on the morning of July 31 in Ormoc City, where she was forcibly taken by the suspects. Her sister Patricia reported the abduction to the Ormoc City Police Station on Aug. 4 at around 8 a.m.
According to police reports, the suspects, dressed in black pants, sweatshirts, and bonnets, dragged Arradaza into a black Toyota Wigo with the license plate number 1799. The vehicle quickly fled the scene, heading toward Kananga, Leyte. CCTV footage later confirmed that the same vehicle was seen traveling toward Tacloban City shortly after the incident. Authorities believe the attack was targeted and premeditated.
Patricia also revealed that her sister had been in contact with a man named Pay-ap Drilon, a resident of the same barangay, on the morning of the abduction. Authorities are now working to track down and apprehend the individuals responsible for her abduction and death.
At 35, Arradaza was a single mother and caregiver from Ormoc City.
