New Delhi: Comic Con India is bringing its 13th edition to Hyderabad, kicking off the 2025–26 season with a three-day event from October 31 to November 2 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. The city, which has quickly grown into a major pop culture hub, will host an expanded lineup of activities, performances and fan experiences this year.

The return is expected to draw massive crowds. Last year’s Hyderabad edition pulled in over 40,000 attendees, filling halls with gamers, comic book fans, anime lovers, cosplayers and creators. Organisers say this year’s festival will be bigger, with international guests, esports action, music, stand-up shows and interactive fan zones.

Hyderabad set to kickstart Comic Con season

This season’s launch in Hyderabad is significant for Comic Con India. Over several months, the festival will tour across the country, but the organisers say Hyderabad has the right mix of energy, fan culture and growing demand for global pop content to lead the way.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD of NODWIN Gaming, which operates Comic Con India, said, “We are excited to announce the beginning of another chapter of Comic Con India with Hyderabad being the first host city. We are bringing the best line-up of celebrities and guests to each city, tailored to match the unique interests and passions of their own. We are also creating deeper, more immersive experiences for fans across India. From global pop culture icons to India’s most passionate cosplay community, from thrilling esports battles to exclusive panels and launches, Comic Con India 2025-2026 will truly be a celebration of everything that falls under the pop culture they love.”

What fans can expect this year

The organisers are promising a packed schedule with:

  • Global celebrity appearances
  • Exclusive merchandise launches
  • Stand-up comedy and live music
  • Cosplay competitions
  • Gaming tournaments and esports finals
  • Anime showcases and fan meet-ups

Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, said, “Hyderabad has rapidly evolved into one of India’s most dynamic cultural and creative hubs. With its booming tech industry, a young and enthusiastic fanbase, and having a growing appetite for global pop culture, the city is the perfect launchpad for Comic Con India’s grand 2025–2026 season. We hope to see massive engagement in Hyderabad as we kick start our biggest season yet.”

A growing stage for Indian pop culture

Over the years, Comic Con India has hosted everything from Marvel and DC comic book artists to anime creators and Hollywood stars. It has also become a place where Indian cosplayers, content creators and independent artists connect with audiences in large numbers.

The 2025–26 edition in Hyderabad will keep that tradition alive while adding new elements like immersive fan zones and competitive gaming arenas. The aim is to bring different fandoms together under one roof.
