Thane: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced a scheduled water cut in Dombivli on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, due to urgent maintenance work. According to the official notice, water supply from the Mohili source will be suspended from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. During this time, urgent maintenance and repair work will be carried out.
As a result, the water supply from the Netivali Water Purification Centre to the Dombivli East and West divisions will also be completely shut down during the same period.
Citizens are urged to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation by using water judiciously and storing sufficient water in advance to meet their needs during the water cut.
In addition, the KDMC regularly organises a Janata Darbar on the second Tuesday of every month in the afternoon at the Hon’ble Commissioner’s office at the Municipal Corporation Headquarters, to address public problems and complaints. However, due to unavoidable administrative reasons, the Janata Darbar scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, will not be held. Citizens are requested to take note of this change.
KDMC Orders Closure of All Meat Shops and Slaughterhouses on August 15
The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has issued a directive mandating the closure of all meat shops, including those selling chicken, mutton, and fish, as well as slaughterhouses, on Independence Day, August 15.
In a statement released on August 4, KDMC officials appealed to legal and illegal shopkeepers to comply with the order by keeping their shops closed for the day. This measure is being implemented in accordance with provisions under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act. As per the Licensing Department, the closure will be enforced from midnight on August 14 until midnight on August 15.
