Sirohi Tractor Drug Smugggling: Police in Sirohi district has caught such a method of drug smuggling, which everyone was surprised to hear. The smugglers were carrying illegal doda-poppy within the previous tires of the tractor so that they would not be caught. But in front of the vigilance and accurate action of the police, this dhanw planning failed.

High-tech smuggling disclosure in Sirohi

According to the information, as part of a special campaign against illegal drugs in the district, Kalandri police station got secret information that doda-poppy is being smuggled by hiding in a tractor. On this, the team under the leadership of Thanadikari Tikamram started checking the vehicles by blocking the road near Shanidham temple. During the investigation, the suspected tractor was stopped and searched. The search revealed that 91 kg 600 grams of doda-poppy was hidden within both tires behind the tractor. The estimated price of which is said to be around eight lakh rupees. Police seized the tractor from the spot and arrested the couple involved in the smuggling.

Husband and wife used to do this dirty work

The arrested accused have been identified as Hakarchand (42) son Laxman Meena, resident Badupada, Thana Patan, District Banswara and his wife Sugna (40) wife Hakarchand, resident Banswara. Police say the accused do driving and wages by profession, but joined the drug trafficking for additional earnings. Sirohi SP Dr. Pyare Lal Shivran informed that there is a constant intensive campaign to root out the illegal business of intoxication in the district. Apart from seizure in this action, through interrogation of the accused, it is also being ascertained from where this goods were brought and in which places it was to be supplied.
