15th August is a very special day for all of us. Flag hoisting is done on this day. The flag, i.e., the three colors of the tricolor, gives us a special message. At the same time, you must have noticed another thing, and that is the blue circle made in the middle of the tricolor. You must have seen it many times. It is called Ashok Chakra, and it has 24 spokes.

But do you know what these 24 spokes mean? This is not just a design, but there is a special thought and learning hidden behind each spoke, which is related to our lives. On the occasion of 15th August, when the tricolor flutters in the air, every spoke of this chakra reminds us of something. This message is not only related to independence, but is also useful in our daily lives. After all, what is the real secret of these spokes? And why are they given a place in our national flag? Let us know the interesting story behind it in our article.

Ashoka Chakra is blue.

Let us tell you that the Ashoka Chakra is a blue-coloured circular wheel in the middle of our national flag. It is also called Dharma Chakra. It has a total of 24 spokes. It is also called the Wheel of Duty. These 24 spokes mean 24 good qualities or principles of a human being. In simple language, these are the 24 paths on which any country can progress. This is the reason why the charkha that was earlier in the design of our tricolour was replaced by the Ashoka Chakra.

What do these 24 spokes mean?
