Ticket Booking Process

Online ticket sales commenced on August 13. To reserve tickets for the Red Fort event, visit the Ministry of Defence’s official website or e-invitations portal.

  • Select the option for Independence Day 2025 ticket reservations.
  • Provide your full name, contact number, and the quantity of tickets required.
  • Upload a copy of your Aadhaar card or another valid identification for verification.
  • Choose from three ticket categories: general for Rs 20, standard for Rs 100, or premium for Rs 500.
  • Complete the payment online using a debit/credit card or UPI. Save your e-ticket, which will include a QR code and seating information.
  • Ensure your e-ticket is accessible for entry, either by saving it on your mobile device or printing it out.

Reaching the Red Fort via Metro

On August 15, the Delhi Metro will commence operations at 4 p.m., providing convenient access to the Red Fort. Passengers can disembark at either Lal Qila or Chandni Chowk stations.


Independence Day Celebrations Overview
