Recently, Ryu Jiwon , the idol-turned-actress who is most popularly known for being a member of the girl groups Good Day and IRRIS , has shared a shocking health update with fans. The star shared a series of photos on her social media platform, along with a caption announcing that she got diagnosed with Leukaemia .
Ryu Jiwon shares her ordeal while dealing with leukaemia
In an online social media post, the star shared a photo of herself without any hair, with a long caption announcing that she has been diagnosed with cancer. While delving deep into her condition, Jiwon shared with the fans that her diagnosis of having leukaemia came almost three months ago, and at the time, since she was so shocked, she ended up getting admitted soon after the diagnosis.
She also added that since her diagnosis, she has been undergoing treatment in order to deal with the disease. She shared that, “I am so grateful that the first and second rounds went so smoothly that I didn’t even think it was serious”.
While talking about the matter, she shared that the emotional and mental turmoil she has been through since her diagnosis is a lot; however, she has a great support system. The star also added that her friends, family members, and fans, have all been contributing to making her feel better.
Ending her post on a positive note, the idol shared that she quickly wishes to recover from the disease, and wishes to be as healthy as she used to be before her diagnosis.
