After a three-month hiatus, the Premier League is back in action, and football pundits have already made their predictions for the new season. The campaign kicks off with reigning champions Liverpool welcoming Bournemouth to Anfield on Friday evening, hoping to start their defence with a bang.

Arne Slot's side start the season as favourites to clinch back-to-back title for the first time since 1984. However, they face stiff competition this year, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal all splashing the cash in their quest for glory.

Ruben Amorim's Manchester United have also invested heavily and aiming to bounce back from their disappointing performance last season. At the other end of the spectrum, Burnley, Sunderland and Leeds have returned to the top flight and are striving to break the cycle of promoted clubs being relegated immediately.
