IB Recruitment 2025: The recruitment process for 4987 posts of Security Assistant / Executive in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) will end tomorrow, 17 August 2025. 10th pass candidates can apply. Selection will be based on the Tier-1 exam and interview. The minimum pay scale is Rs 21,700.

IB Recruitment 2025: Intelligence Bureau (IB) has given a golden opportunity to the youth across the country. The process of recruitment for 4987 posts of Security Assistant / Executive in Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) is going on. The last date to apply online for this recruitment is 17 August 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Ministry of Home Affairs www.mha.gov.in.

Opportunity for 10th pass candidates

The minimum educational qualification for this recruitment is 10th pass. The candidate should be a resident of the state for which he is applying and he must have a domicile certificate. Apart from this, knowledge of local language is mandatory.

Age limit and reservation

The minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 18 years and maximum at 27 years. Reserved categories will get relaxation as per rules - 5 years relaxation for SC / ST and 3 years relaxation for OBC. In this recruitment, 2471 posts are reserved for general category, 1015 for OBC, 501 for EWS, 574 for SC and 426 for ST category.

Pay scale and selection process

Selected candidates will get 21700–69100 (Level-3) pay scale. The recruitment process will be in two phases: Tier-1 and Tier-2.

Tier-1 exam will have objective type questions of 100 marks, which will include general studies, English, reasoning and mathematics. Negative marking will also be applicable.

Tier-2 exam will have a test of translation and writing related to the chosen language, which will be qualifying.

The final selection will be based on the marks of Tier-1 and interview.

Application fee

The application fee has been fixed at Rs 650 for general, EWS and OBC category, while Rs 550 for SC, ST and female candidates of all categories.

Vacancies have been released for this recruitment on the basis of different languages in many states across the country. The maximum number of posts are available at a total of 37 centers including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Trivandrum.
