ITV's Emmerdale stars flocked to Suffolk to celebrate the union of their former co-stars Kris Mochrie and Max Parker, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony surrounded by their loved ones. The couple met on set in 2019 when they starred as brothers, Lee and Luke Posner, respectively, but away from the cameras, there was an undeniable spark. In an unlikely twist, the duo never actually shared a scene, but after becoming close friends, their bond eventually became romantic.

Mochrie and Parker went public with their relationship in 2020, after sparking romance rumours after sharing photos of their rainy hiking trip and another snap of themselves sunbathing on Instagram. Two years later, Parker took to social media to reveal he was engaged with a loved-up photo showing off a sparkling new ring and a bottle of champagne. In the caption, he penned: "[Kris] deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart. He said yes. Happiest moment of my life." On Wednesday, August 6, Mochrie and Parker said their "I Do's" at the breathtaking Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk.

From snippets shared on social media, the couple had a celebrity guest perform during the reception, as Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle made an appearance during the evening.

Over 100 guests also entered the wedding reception, greeted by an explosion of rainbow smoke, and then enjoyed a delicious and elaborate meal on long tables.

The star-studded guests included Code of Silence actor Kieron Moore, Love Island's Callum Jones and radio host Leanne Campbell, who opened up about the glamorous evening.

Taking to Instagram, she shared: "Max & Kris didn't just get married... they hosted a masterpiece.

"What an event and still one more day to celebrate these kind, handsome, thoughtful men. How did we get so lucky to call you our friends. The day? Immaculate. The guests? Fabulous. The couple? Flawless. Dress."

At the wedding, guests were treated to personalised and handwritten notes, which were placed on the table before the evening's venue transformed into Kris' Kiki Klub, with Nadine on stage singing.

According to The Sun: "Everyone went mad when the music began and she walked out on stage. They knew Max and Kris were going all out for the wedding but to get pop royalty like Nadine Coyle to perform was next level.

"The couple even ended up on stage as Nadine's backing dancers as she belted out hit after hit."

Mochrie's TV career has seen him have a short stint on Liverpool-based soap Brookside before he played Emmerdale rapist Lee, who was killed by Robert Sugden, to avenge what Posner did to his sister Victoria.

While Mochrie left Emmerdale in 2019, Parker, who's also been seen in Casualty and BBC's hit wartime drama World on Fire, stayed until 2021.
