New Delhi: India’s two representatives Mohun Bagan Super Gynts and FC Goa in the AFC Champions League to 2025-26 Group Stage discovered their opponents on Friday, August 15, 2025 after a draw at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, told by the website of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

India Super League 2024-25 Shield winner Mohan Bagan is placed in Group C with SC (Iran), Al Hussain SC (Jordan) and Ahl FC (Turkmenistan).

Kalinga Super Cup 2025 winner FC Goa was placed in Group D with Al Nasar Club (Saudi Arabia), Al Zavra SC (Iraq) and FC Istikol (Tajikistan). Goa qualified for the group phase after a 2–1 victory at Oman’s Al Sib Club in the initial phase on Wednesday.

32 teams with 16–16 players in West and Eastern Zone are divided into eight groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group will reach the round of 16.

This Mohun Bagan is a demonstration of SG in Asia’s second -ranked men’s club competition, which was changed from AFC Cup to AFC Champions League to last season. FC Goa will play continental football for the second time, before which he has represented India in the 2021 AFC Champions League.

Mohan Bagan SG’s rival, Sapahan SC, Persian Gulf Prof. League 2024-25 is runner-up, while Al Hussain SC Jordan is a champion of Pro League 2024-25, and Ahl FC Yochi is a runner-up of 2024.

FC Goa has a third-placed team of rival, Al Nasar, Saudi Pro League 2024-25, Al Zavra SC Iraq Stars League 2024-25, and FC Isticol Tajikol Tajikol Higher League 2024 Champion.

Meriners and Gaurs will clash against each other in a double-round robin format on domestic and external plains. The group phase will run from 16 September to 24 December. The round of 16 will be between 10–19 February, 2026. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be held on March 3-12 and 7-15, while the finals will be held on May 16, 2026.
