SCADA System Bihar: Preparations to make power supply hi -tech in Patna, all substations will be connected to the Skada system. Supply will start from the other side immediately when the fault arrives. The power system will be further strengthened by installing RMU and RTU unit at substations.

Patna Electricity Update: There will soon be a big change in Patna regarding power supply. Now the power system of the city is going to be completely hi -tech. Under this new system, all the substations will be connected and the supply will start immediately from the other side as soon as there is a malfunction in any area.

Why is the new system being brought?

During summer, power cuts become the biggest problem for the people of Patna. Electricity is often disrupted for hours due to small technical failure or substation disturbances. To overcome this problem, there is now a preparation to implement the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

How will the Skada system work?

Skada is a remote control -based automatic centralized system.

  • Substities will be connected to a computerized network.
  • If there is a fault in any line, power supply will start from the second line immediately.
  • The system itself will restore the small malfunctions.
  • The work of closing or turning feeders will be done from the control room.

What will be the changes in the substations?

Substities will be upgraded to implement the new system.

  • Ring Main Unit (RMU): It will start automatic supply from another feeder.
  • Remote Terminal Unit (RTU): Through this, the control room will get information about continuous load and fault.
  • Section Laner: This will not be limited in the same area, the electricity of the rest of the areas will not be affected.

What will be the benefit of consumers?

  • The correct identity of the fault location will save time.
  • Voltage control will be easy.
  • Technical malfunctions will be repaired immediately.
  • The problem of power cuts will be reduced and there will be relief in summer.

Bihar State Power Holding Company has prepared a DPR for this and sent it to the Central Government. Work will start as soon as the approval is received. If everything happens according to the plan, then soon the power system of Patna will become hi -tech like selected cities of the country.
