Why is Demographic Mission necessary?
Illegal immigration has become a serious and growing concern in the country. Several states and cities are witnessing a growing number of foreign nationals living here by misusing Indian identity documents. The biggest concern is the illegal presence of Bangladeshi nationals.
Authorities have intensified raids and verification drives in various cities in recent months. Identity verification of suspected workers is being done, which includes checking Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards and other documents. In this process, those persons are being identified who claim to be Indian citizens but are actually foreign nationals.
Government agencies believe that illegal immigration not only affects the economic and social structure, but it can also pose a serious threat to the security of the country. Therefore, efforts are being intensified to eliminate this threat through demographic missions and stringent verification processes at the national level.
PM Modi's strong message from Red Fort "I want to alert the country to a concern, a challenge. Under a well-planned conspiracy, the demography of the country is being changed and the seeds of a new crisis are being sown. These infiltrators are snatching the livelihood of the youth of my country. They are targeting our sisters and daughters. They are misleading the tribals and grabbing their lands. This will not be tolerated,"Prime Minister Modi said.
Demographic changes in border areas: PM expresses deep concern Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address described the demographic changes taking place in the border areas as a serious challenge to the country's security and social balance. He warned that the imbalance of population in these areas can not only affect the cultural identity but can also become a strategic threat in the long run. The PM gave a clear message that such changes will be strictly monitored and no conspiracy will be allowed to succeed.
'High-powered demographic mission' begins against infiltrators "Demographic changes in border areas pose a threat to national security. It sows the seeds of conflict. No country can bow down to intruders. So how can we? Not allowing such activities to take place is our duty towards our ancestors who gifted us an independent India. Therefore, I announce from the ramparts of the Red Fort that we have decided to launch a high-powered demographic mission. This mission will deal with the threat looming over India," Prime Minister Modi said.
Why this mission is high-powered India cannot compromise with the security of its citizens. If some infiltrators come and settle here from the border areas and harm our mothers, sisters and the country, then we will take strict action against them, therefore this mission will be carried out with full force. Therefore, this mission is called High-powered demographic mission.
