The first year MBBS, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) admission process in the state has been postponed indefinitely. An official notice has been issued on the official website in this regard. According to sources, this decision has been taken due to the ongoing OBC case in the court. As a result of this notice, the first year MBBS Dental counseling process has been stopped, and the admission process has also been postponed for the time being. The notice issued by the Health Bhavan only gives information about the suspension. The reason for this decision has not been clarified. Similarly, it has also not been said how long this admission process will remain closed. As a result, concerns are increasing.

The notice issued reads, "West Bengal NEET UG Medical Dental 2025 counselling/admission process has been postponed till further orders. All concerned are informed accordingly."
