Fastag annual pass has been started in the country from 15th August. This annual Fastag pass of Rs. 3000 will be valid on all expressways and highways of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). Through this, you can travel for a whole year without paying extra toll. For this, you will get 200 trips. The time of the whole year or 200 trips, whichever is completed first, will be valid.

But let us tell you that this Fastag Annual Pass will be valid only on National Highways and Expressways, not on State Highways. Now the question arises how will you identify whether the highway you are on is a National Highway or a State Highway. So that you can save money by using Fastag Annual Pass. Let us tell you how you can find out.

How to know whether the highway is national or state?

After the introduction of Fastag Annual Pass, travelling on highways will become much easier. But the problem is that this pass will be valid only on National Highway Expressway. If you are travelling on a state highway, then it will not be valid. Now in such a situation, how can you know whether the highway you are passing through is a state highway or a national highway? For this, you can keep some things in mind.

The easiest way to identify this is to look at the highway number and the letters written before it. If NH is written before the number then it is a national highway and if SH is written then it is a state highway. Apart from this, the color of the signboards of both is also different. NH usually connects big cities and states. Whereas SH connects the interior parts of the state and small towns.

How to pay toll tax on state highway?

Then how will the toll tax have to be paid there. So let us tell you that for that you will have to pay the toll with fast tag as before.
