On Tuesday, Nhi joined the groundbreaking ceremony for 250 construction projects nationwide to mark the 80th anniversary of the 1945 August Revolution and the upcoming Sept. 2 National Day.

She wore a simple, elegant outfit and appeared alongside Hoang, with the couple staying close throughout the program.

It was one of her rare public appearances since their January engagement. Details of their wedding have not been revealed.

Since then, Nhi has kept a low profile, stepping away from the entertainment industry and staying off social media.

She has only occasionally been seen in travel photos taken in Vietnam and abroad. She was once managed by an entertainment agency, but it later stopped sharing updates about her.

Nhi, 23, represented Vietnam at the 2023 Miss International contest and placed in the top 15.

Hoang, 25, leads an automobile company and is the second son of Pham Nhat Vuong, Vietnam’s richest man.

Forbes estimates Vuong’s net worth at US$12.2 billion as of Aug. 19.

The couple’s engagement ceremony was held on Jan. 15 in Nhi’s native Thanh Hoa province, attended under stringent security measures including a team of bodyguards. They have maintained a low profile, and their journey to Japan in February was their first public appearance together since then.

Reports suggest that Nhi and Hoang have been acquainted for many years.
