Bach Baras Vrat Katha 2025: In Hinduism, cow has been given the status of mother and their worship has special significance. In this episode, every year the festival of calf Baras is celebrated on the Dwadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Cow and calf are worshiped on this day. This festival mainly keeps daughter-in-law women for the long life and happiness and prosperity of their children. According to the almanac, this year the festival of calf Baras will be celebrated on 20 August 2025.

Worship method of calf Baras

Decorate cow and calf and make up them for worship. Apply tilak to the cow and calf and wear a garland of flowers. Feed green grass and jaggery to the cow. During the puja, light a lamp in front of the cow and show incense and incense sticks. After this, pray with Lord Krishna and Kamadhenu Mata for the long life and happiness and prosperity of your children. After worshiping, apply tilak to your children and feed them sweets. In many places, on this day, women also perform rituals to break their sons by applying tilak, after which they are offered laddus.

After this incident, the moneylender's entire family started getting untoward. When the moneylender asked a Pandit the reason for this, the Pandit told that all this calf is happening due to the sin committed on the day of Baras. The moneylender and his wife together apologized to God for this sin and resolved that they would never harm the cow and calf on the day of the calf in the future.

After this, he served the cow and the calf with reverence. It is believed that pleased with his devotion, God forgive him and returned to the prosperity again in his life. Since then the festival of Baras became a symbol of respect and reverence for the cow and calf.

What is the importance of calf Baras?

The festival of Bach Baras is also known as Govats Dwadashi. On this day, mothers observe fast for the well -being and welfare of their children. It is believed that by worshiping cow and calf on this day, Lord Krishna and Kamadhenu Mata are pleased and bless the devotees of happiness and prosperity. On this day, products made from cow's milk are not consumed nor the cow is harassed. Women conclude the puja by applying tilak to their children and feeding them sweets.
