How much salary is received?

The salary of DRDO scientists is considered to be the most attractive among government jobs. Here scientists get jobs on pay scales ranging from level-10 to level-13. Initially, the basic salary on selection to the post of Scientist-B is around Rs 56,100 per month. With this, their in-hand salary reaches above Rs 80,000 by adding HRA, travel allowance and other allowances.

As the experience and position increases, the salary also increases rapidly. Scientists at higher positions get a monthly salary of Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, facilities like government job security, pension, medical and research funding make this job more attractive.
