Dwarka Expressway Toll Tax: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big relief to millions of people of Delhi-NCR by inaugurating the Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-II). After the start of these two corridors, the distance from Noida and Gurugram to the Delhi Airport will be covered in just a few minutes. Now the question in the minds of the people is how much toll tax they will have to pay to drive on this expressway, and another question is whether the annual pass of Fastag will be valid on it or not.
The country's first 8-lane expressway
Dwarka Expressway is the first such expressway in the country, which is 8 lanes, and each lane is on a single pillar. This entire 29 km expressway has been built for 11 thousand crores, of which 18.9 km is in Haryana and the remaining 10.1 km is in Delhi. It also includes India's widest tunnel of 3.6 km. There are also many such tunnels, underpasses, and flyovers. A three-lane service road has also been built on both sides of the expressway.
Will toll be deducted from the satellite?
Dwarka Expressway is equipped with an Intelligent Transport System (ITS). That is, high-resolution cameras have been installed in it, which will scan the number plates of vehicles, and the toll will be deducted automatically. The government's satellite-based system will work on this expressway. That is, you will not find any toll plaza, and you will reach your destination without stopping.
How much will the toll tax be?
The official toll rates have not been mentioned on the NHAI website yet, but according to the proposal, the one-way toll for private cars, vans, and jeeps is Rs 105. Whereas for commercial vehicles, it can be up to Rs 355. If you do a round trip, then the toll charge will be cheaper for you.
Will you save money with the annual pass of Fastag?
Now from August 15, the annual pass of Fastag has also started. You can get this pass of Fastag activated on your Fastag sticker by paying three thousand rupees. For those who travel from Gurugram to Noida or Noida to Gurugram daily, this can lead to huge savings. If NHAI agrees to the proposed toll charge, it will cost you only Rs 25 to cross a toll plaza. That is, if you travel from Gurugram to Sonipat or Noida, it will cost you only Rs 45 to 50. Let us tell you that the annual pass of Fastag offers 200 trips, in which one trip at one toll plaza is counted.
