The heavy rains in Bhiwandi city of Maharashtra for the last two days have completely disturbed life. According to the Meteorological Department, on August 18, the city received 147 mm of rainfall and 126 mm of rain on August 19 till 3 pm.

Due to heavy rains, water logging on the roads and water in people’s homes in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for the next few days, which is expected to make the situation more serious.

The situation in the Khadipar area of the city is particularly bad. It is clearly visible in the morning pictures that the roads are submerged and water is flooded inside many houses. Troubled by this, many families have decided to lock their homes and go to safe places.

Local people say that there is a lot of difficulty in traffic due to water logging and it has become difficult to meet everyday needs.

The problem of water filling in low -lying areas has increased due to heavy rains. Traffic has come to a standstill due to water logging on the roads, due to which people are having trouble reaching their workplaces. The local administration has started using pumps for drainage, but due to the intensity of rain, the situation has not yet been completely controlled.

The Meteorological Department has warned that if the process of rain continues even today, water logging and water filling in other areas of Bhiwandi may increase. The administration has appealed to the people to be vigilant and to go to safe places from low -lying areas.

Also, emergency services are kept ready. Local people are demanding the administration to start relief work at the earliest and make better drainage arrangements.
