Patna. Bihar Education Department has taken an important step towards making the functioning of government schools of the state empower and effective. More than 42 thousand head teachers and principals across the state will now be given special training in school management skills and leadership efficiency. This training will start simultaneously in all districts from 1 September, which will be operated in residential form for a week.
The objective of this initiative is to develop leadership capacity in newly appointed principals so that they can run their schools better, guide other teachers and ensure a positive educational environment for students.
The format of this training has been prepared by the State Education Research and Training Council (SCERT). Council Director Dinesh Kumar has instructed all District Education Officers to complete all preparations by 30 August. Along with this, Diet, CTE, PTEC and Byte institutions have been asked to ensure that the residential system required for training is available on time.
Principals participating in training will not only be taught leadership skills, but will also be made an inspiration for other schools. For this, the ‘Master Trainer’ system is being adopted, in which such principals will be elected whose schools are considered exemplary and who have a strong understanding of the school management. These master trainers will be prepared as trainers so that the training process can run continuously.
This initiative is expected to improve significant improvement in educational quality and administrative efficiency in government schools of Bihar. A strong leadership system will increase the overall functionality of schools and will see positive changes in the level of education.
