How to Wear Nauvari Saree Follow Step by Step Guide: Ganesh Chaturthi festival is on 27th August, the excitement of which is visible from the markets to homes. Especially in Maharashtra, people have started decorating their homes to welcome Bappa. On this day, people bring Bappa to their homes for ten days and worship him a lot.

If you are also bringing Bappa to your home this time, then get ready in a special way. Here we are going to tell you the right way to wear a Nauvari saree, so that you too can get ready in the style of a Marathi girl to welcome Bappa.

This is the right way.

If you want to wear a traditional Maharashtrian Nauvari saree and do not understand where to start, then this step-by-step guide is for you. For this, first divide the 9-yard saree into two equal parts. Now keep one-third of it on the right-hand side and let the rest be on the left-hand side. After this, hold both ends of the saree and bring them in front like a dhoti and tie a tight knot near the waist.

Keep in mind that this knot should be tight; otherwise, there will be a fear of the saree slipping. Now hold the saree from the left side and make pleats in it. Take out these pleats from between the legs and tuck them properly into the waist at the back.

Use safety pins for safety, so that they do not open while walking or dancing. Make pleats like a normal saree on the front side with the remaining saree. Now take them out from the right leg towards the front.

Keep the part that has come up on the shoulder in the shape of a pallu like a normal saree. Set the pallu properly on the shoulder and attach it with a safety pin. Use pins properly while attaching the pallu; otherwise, there will be a fear of it opening.

Keep these things in mind.

If you are wearing a Nauvari saree, then keep in mind that it should be of silk fabric. Nauvari saree made of silk fabric looks better to wear. Along with this, make a gajra in your hair so that you look good. Chandrakor Bindi on the forehead and traditional nath in the nose will add to your beauty. Make sure to put a gajra in your hair along with the bun so that you look amazing.
