Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann mourned the sad and untimely death of famous Punjabi actor/comedian Jaswinder Bhalla. After his prolonged illness, he died in a private hospital here this morning.
The Chief Minister, who reached Jaswinder Bhalla’s house this evening, shared mourning with family members. He described the death of the famous comedian as a big loss for the world of art, literature, culture and cinema. Being emotional, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is a big personal loss for him and it would not be easy to fill the emptiness arising out of the death of Jaswinder Bhalla in the near future.
The Chief Minister said that Jaswinder Bhalla actively participated in enriching Punjabi culture despite poor health. He said that Jaswinder Bhalla experimented with new ideas in comedy and enriched the current forms of Punjabi cinema with his spectacular presence. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Jaswinder Bhalla raised the worldwide Punjabi comedy, cinema and culture till his last breath.
Describing Jaswinder Bhalla as a versatile personality and a true son of the mother Earth, the Chief Minister said that through his rare satire and attendance, he made a big contribution in influencing the common people at the ground level. He said that Jaswinder Bhalla is an inspiration for emerging artists across the country, especially comedians who have left an indelible mark on television and Punjabi film industry. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that through his tireless efforts, Jaswinder Bhalla removed the sadness of the stressed mind through his healthy comedy, which made his name popular from house to house.
The Chief Minister said that with the death of Jaswinder Bhalla, an era of Punjabi comedy has come to an end, but he will always live in the memories of fans. He said that Jaswinder Bhalla made a great contribution to the promotion of Punjabi art and culture. While sharing sympathy with the family, Bhagwant Singh Mann prayed to the divine to place the departed soul at his feet and give family members, friends, relatives and millions of fans the power to bear this irreparable loss.
