According to the Houtfly report, Sunita has filed a petition under section 13 (1) (i), (IA), and (IB) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, in which she has described adultery, cruelty and abandonment as the basis to end her 38 -year marital life. The court had sent summons to Govinda on 25 May, but the actor was not personally attended at any hearing, issuing him a show Cose notice. Sunita has regularly participated in court hearing and counseling sessions set by the court, while Govinda’s absent has been noted.
