Overview of TNUSRB Police Constable Recruitment 2025



The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has announced the recruitment for various positions, including Police Constable, Jail Prahari, and Fireman. A total of 3,644 vacancies are available for this recruitment initiative. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from August 22, 2025, to September 21, 2025, via the official TNUSRB website. The deadline for making corrections to the application form is set for September 25, 2025. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for November 9, 2025.


Details of Vacancies

The recruitment will fill the following positions:



  • 2,833 posts for Constable Grade-II

  • 631 posts for Fireman

  • 180 posts for Jail Warder Grade-II


Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirements:


Candidates must have completed their 10th grade. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 26 years, calculated as of July 1, 2025. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per government regulations.


Application Fee

To apply for the positions, candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹250. This fee can be paid online using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking. Applications submitted without the fee payment will be rejected.


Selection Process

The selection of candidates will occur in multiple stages, which include:


  • A written examination

  • A Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

  • A Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • An endurance test

  • Document verification

  • Salary Structure

    Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹18,200 to ₹67,100, depending on the specific position and applicable regulations.
