Rylan Clark has confirmed he is dating someone new, putting an end to speculation about him and co-star Rob Rinder being romantically involved. The 36-year-old made the revelation on Saturday during a conversation with his co-star, Lottie, on his BBC Radio 2 show, Rylan.

During the programme, the presenter discussed his How to Be in Love podcast, which recently featured documentary maker Louis Theroux. In that episode, Louis shared details about his marriage and how he met his wife. After Rylan played a clip from the show, Lottie cheekily questioned him live on air about whether there was "something else" that was mentioned. What followed was a playful exchange, where Rylan initially dodged Lottie's questions, before eventually confirming he was romantically involved with someone. He confessed: "I might have said that I'm... it feels weird saying it on the radio!"

When his colleague pushed him to confirm it was "real", Rylan revealed he had "kept it a secret for so long" and acknowledged that he was indeed "seeing someone".

Lottie then mentioned that she and their team had met his new partner and found him "lovely".

Speaking fondly of his new man, Rylan said he is "happy" and "very content", and confessed it had been pleasant to keep the relationship private. Confirming his new romantic status also prompted the presenter to dismiss the persistent speculation about him and his co-star Rob.

"Like, so many people keep asking, everyone keeps asking me - because there's all these fake news stories about me and Rob Rinder - we've gotten married and all of this. Rob's my friend," he revealed.

"I adore him, and Rob and Rylan's just about to come out again, our passage to India, and I just thought, 'Let's just put the record straight'."

Rob and Rylan originally teamed up for a BBC Two show titled Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, a three-part series which saw the pair discovering destinations including Venice, Florence and Rome.

In the latest instalment of the programme, the duo ventured through India, drawing inspiration from Rob's cherished author, E. M. Forster, who wrote the 1924 novel A Passage to India.

Proving itself as a successful programme, the pair scooped a Bafta Television Award for their efforts earlier this year, defeating competitors such as Race Across The World and Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out. Rob and Rylan also clinched Best Popular Factual Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards.

In response, Rylan took to Instagram to share a photograph of himself and Rob and to voice their appreciation for the accolade.

He posted: "Thank you for our @edinburghtvfest award for Rob and Rylan's grand tour. Means the world. We've come out for dinner to celebrate. Thank you."
