Indian Railways Ticket Booking, IRCTC Ticket Booking: With the festive season set to begin next month, passengers are advised to carefully fill in their boarding and destination locations while booking train tickets online, as well as enter other details correctly. Booking a ticket is the first step of the journey. However, many times passengers need to change their boarding point if they accidentally book a ticket from a different station. For example, if a passenger is planning to travel in Netaji Express from Delhi to Howrah, he may accidentally book a ticket from Sabzi Mandi or Ghaziabad. In such cases, it becomes necessary to change the boarding point as soon as possible, otherwise the passenger may not be allowed to board the train from Delhi.

What are the rules for changing boarding stations in Indian Railways?
