BSSC CGL 2025 Important Updates



Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released the updated timeline for the 4th Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (BSSC CGL 4 2025). The registration process commenced on August 25, 2025, and candidates interested in applying can do so until September 26, 2025.


The official announcement regarding the revised schedule can be found on the BSSC's official website. Following the directive from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the application fee has been lowered to Rs 100.

  • Registration begins: August 25, 2025

  • Last date for fee payment: September 24, 2025

  • Final date for application submission: September 26, 2025

  • Application fee: Rs 100 for all candidates


Note: The registration was initially scheduled to start on August 18 but was delayed.


On Independence Day, CM Nitish Kumar announced a reduction in the examination fee for preliminary competitive exams to Rs 100, with no fee for the main examination.


This decision influenced the application timeline for the fourth CGL 2025 recruitment, leading to a postponement. A notice issued on August 4 had indicated that applications would be accepted from August 18 to September 19, 2025, but this was later revised.
