Sadly case of Jyoti Sharma

Greater Noida News: Jyoti Sharma, a BDS student at Sharda University, committed suicide on 18 July. After this incident, he accused Professor Dr. Sherry and Mahendra sir of abetment to suicide in a suicide note. Both were arrested on this basis. Now, on Tuesday, the district court granted him bail. Both were in jail for more than a month.

No criminal history

During the bail hearing, The counsel for both professors said in the court that there is no criminal record against them. He also told that Jyoti’s attendance in classes was low, due to which she was left behind in studies. The professors had asked him to rectify him, but he had fake signs on the practical file, due to which the teachers scolded him. He took a step of suicide by coming into depression. The court granted bail after hearing these arguments.

Accused of hiding evidence

After this incident, The university management had registered a case against Professor Sherry, Mahendra, Anurag Awasthi, Surbhi, Dean M Siddharth and Ashish at the Knowledge Park police station on the complaint of Jyoti’s family. The investigation of the case is still on. It is alleged that along with the abetment of suicide to the student, evidence was also hidden.


Accused of responsibility in suicide note

Jyoti wrote in her suicide note That Dr. Sherry and Mahendra sir insulted him a lot. She also said that she wants the situation that she had to face, the same situation should happen to both of them. After this incident, many student organizations also staged protests.
