Iceland and The Food Warehouse have announced a major change to their long-running loyalty scheme, with the popular Bonus Card rebranding as the new Bonus Club. To celebrate the relaunch, the supermarket chains have launched a nationwide Mega Deals Event, with discounts and offers on more than 500 products starting today.

The Bonus Card, which has been running for more than 20 years, began as a simple in-store stamp savings scheme but has since evolved into a modern loyalty programme. The new Bonus Club promises even greater rewards and benefits for shoppers, aiming to provide more ways to save money and make family budgets stretch further.

The Mega Deals Event, which begins on Tuesday 26 August, includes a wide range of offers such as "8 for £10" on family favourites, buy two get one free promotions, half-price discounts, and better-than-half-price deals on household essentials like laundry products.

Richard Walker, Executive Chairman at Iceland Foods, said the rebrand was designed to help customers at a time when many households are under financial pressure.

"We've always done the right thing by families, and this change is all about giving them even more savings when it matters most," he said.

"We're evolving our Bonus Card into the new Bonus Club, bringing more value, more benefits and even more reasons to shop with us.

"What better way to celebrate than by going big with our Mega Deals Event. With the summer holidays coming to a close and household budgets feeling the pressure, we know this will be welcome news for families across the country."

The Bonus Club is fully accessible through the dedicated app, which allows customers to top up, track savings and access rewards more easily. Members who pre-load money onto their card earn a £1 bonus for every £20 they add, making everyday shopping more affordable.

Iceland has highlighted that saving just £2 a week could add up to £109 over the course of a year. Customers can also take advantage of free home delivery when spending £40 or more in-store, provided they scan their Bonus Club app at checkout, removing the hassle of carrying heavy bags home.

As an added incentive, anyone who signs up to the Bonus Club during Bonus Club Week, which runs from 26 August to 1 September, will receive £5 credit in their account. Existing members will also benefit from a £2 top-up during the same period.

With hundreds of new deals and a revamped loyalty programme, Iceland says the Bonus Club is designed to give families more flexibility, savings and support at a time when household costs continue to rise.
