Noida became the powerhouse of earning, per capita income doubles from the capital of the country!

Noida's earnings created a blast, Delhi also left behind

Noida located in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh is not just the center of IT hub or real estate, but now it is also challenging many states of the country in terms of economic development. According to the data released for the financial year 2024-25, the per capita income of Noida has reached Rs 10.2 lakh, which is twice as compared to the country's capital Delhi.

Delhi's per capita income is around 5 lakhs

According to the recently released report by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics of the Delhi Government, the per capita income of the national capital has been estimated at Rs 4,93,024 in 2024-25. This is 7.32% higher than the previous year, when the figure was Rs 4,59,408. Although this income is more than most other states of the country, the rapidly developed area like Noida has defeated it. Goa updated figures are not available, so Delhi is currently second. Sikkim is at the top of this list.

Delhi's economic condition also strong

Delhi's economy has seen continuous development in the last decade. Between 2011-12 and 2024-25, the average annual growth rate of per capita income of Delhi has been 7.99%. On real values, Delhi's per capita income in 2024-25 was Rs 2,83,093, which is more than Rs 1,85,001 in 2011-12. Although the GDP of Delhi recorded an annual increase of 5% in the GDP (GSDP) of Delhi during this period, its contribution to the national GDP has come down slightly to 3.79%.

Who after Delhi?

The report said that Delhi's per capita income is 2.4 times more than the national average. Sikkim is at number one in this list, while Delhi is likely to remain in second or third place even after Goa figures. Delhi, whose population and economic activities are more than many states of the country, still rests on the service sector based economy, just as in many developed countries. This is the reason that the income here is high, but his contribution to the national GDP in proportion to the area and population was not stable.

Why is Noida's economy doing amazing?

Noida and its surrounding areas such as Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Zone have seen heavy investment and fast infrastructure development in the last few years. Increasing activities in areas such as IT, manufacturing and real estate have made the region financially strong. This is the reason that Noida is becoming an emerging economic center not only of NCR, but also in the country.
