OpenAI, which came into controversy after the suicide of a young man in America, has spoken about a change in its AI Chatbot Chatgpt. The company says that it will include parental controls and new safety measures in the Chatgpt. Openai said that people are not only doing coding, search and writing through Chatgpt but also have intensive personal conversations with it. Therefore, it is causing many risks and it is necessary to solve them.

Openai was sued

In the US, Matthew and Maria Rene filed a case against Openai. He has blamed Chatgpt for his 16 -year -old son Adam's suicide. They allege that Adam chatted with Chatgpt for several months before the suicide. This chatbot validated Adam's ideas and also told him how to harm himself. Not only this, Chatbot also wrote a suicide note for him. The people of Adam's house say that Openai launched GPT-4O without adequate security measures. He has demanded measures from the company for compensation as well as verifying the age of Chatgpt users and warning the users regarding excessive dependence on chatbott.

What did the company say?

Openai spokesperson expressed grief over Adam's death, saying that security measures have been taken in Chatgpt, which in such cases redirect people on the suicide prevention hotline. However, many times they are unable to work properly in long conversations. Efforts are being made to meet this deficiency. Now users will get one-click access to reach the Emergency Services and people struggling with trouble will be connected to the licensed therapist only through CHATGPT. Parental control will be implemented for users less than 18 years.
