The project, led by French designer Julien Petitseigneur, reimagines the model with Skoda's latest Modern Solid design language.
First introduced in 1994, the Felicia Fun stood out for its playful design and leisure-focused character. Only 4,216 examples were built between 1997 and 2000, making it one of the rarest Skoda models of its era. The new concept retains the spirit of the original but shifts priorities: it drops the unusual 2+2 seating in favour of a two-seat layout with larger cargo space.
Inside, the cabin integrates retro-inspired details such as a full-width digital cockpit styled to mimic old CRT monitors, alongside video game-inspired graphics. Although Skoda has not confirmed technical details, the Felicia Fun concept is expected to be envisioned as an electric vehicle, possibly sharing elements with the upcoming Epiq small crossover based on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform.
The company has not produced a pick-up truck since the original Felicia Fun, and earlier studies on reviving the Amarok project never progressed to production. Skoda's current strategy focuses on core models like the Octavia, making a return to the pick-up segment improbable.
For collectors, the original Felicia Fun remains a rare find. The digital reinterpretation serves as a design exercise that highlights Skoda's heritage but, for now, has no path to showrooms.
