KPY Bala , who is popular among fans through a television reality show, has captured the hearts of fans with her unique comedic one-liners. Although he has acted in a few films, he has garnered more attention through his involvement in social service. Currently, he is making his debut as a hero through director Sharif's new venture, ' Gandhi Kannadi '.
The film stars actress Namitha Krishnamoorthy in a pivotal role. The trailer of the film, which is set to release on September 5th, was released yesterday. The trailer, which received a huge response on social media, has captivated fans with Bala 's comedic timing and the novelty of the story.
Promotions for 'Gandhi Kannadi' intensify
On the same day, Sivakarthikeyan 's upcoming film ' Madharaasi ' will also hit the theatres, giving direct competition to 'Gandhi Kannani'. Currently, the film's promotions are in full swing. At the film's press conference, the film's director Sharif and hero Bala were asked, "You are directly clashing with Sivakarthikeyan's film, won't this be a challenge for you?"
Director Sharif clarifies the release date
Responding to this, director Sharif said, “We completed the shoot as planned. When we talked about when to release the film, the producer suggested September 5th. At first, I thought it was a joke. But, the producer was adamant that the film should be released soon. Also, we took into account the OTT release date. That's why we accepted that date. We had no intention of coming against Sivakarthikeyan's brother's film. But we confirmed the date in the hope that fans who couldn't get tickets for his film would also watch our film," he explained.
Bala humbly acknowledges Siva’s stardom
Later, Bala spoke, "He told exactly what the director had said. My film is not big enough to compete with Siva Annan's (Brother) film. Annan's (Brother) film will definitely be a hit. At the same time, we hope that our audience will like our film. We are waiting with hope," he said.
