Adopt a sattvik and restrained lifestyle.

On the day of the fast, get up in Brahmamuhurta, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.

Keep mental and physical purity.

On the day of the fast, eat only sattvik food, completely abstain from garlic, onion, meat, alcohol, etc.

Keep the Puja material ready in advance.

The materials used in the Puja include: red cloth, roli, rice, flowers, lamp, incense, fruits, milk, curd, sweets, Kalash, betel nut, Panchamrit, and the book of Santan Saptami Katha.
Perform the Puja method as per the scriptures.
Clean the house and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu, Mother Santan Lakshmi, or Saptami Devi at the place of worship.
Read or listen to the Vrat Katha.
After the Puja, offer food to God and perform Aarti.
Observe the fast with a true heart and devotion.
The purpose of the fast is not only to worship, but to pray for your child with true feelings and concentration of mind.
Do not keep any anger, hatred, greed, etc. in the mind.
