
Residential schools for Vimukt Jati: The Uttar Pradesh government is constantly trying to bring and uplift the most backward classes of society in the mainstream. The aim of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is to ensure access to government schemes to the free and nomadic castes and their socio-economic development should be accelerated. In this episode, CM Yogi will mention the developmental efforts made for these castes in the state in a program organized on Sunday on the occasion of 'Vimukta Caste Day'.

The main focus of the Chief Minister is to bring these communities to the "mainstream of development". Under the policy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas', many schemes have been implemented in the fields of education, residence and livelihood. The purpose of celebrating 'Vimukta Caste Day' is also that the focus of the society should be attracted to the rights and dignity of these communities and public awareness should be increased for their welfare.
According to the list of Vimukta, Nomadic and Semi -Nomadic Tribes Commission formed under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in Uttar Pradesh:
These communities are mostly landless or agricultural laborers and live in raw houses/huts. Major groups include Nat, Banjara, Bawri, Sansi, Kanjar and Kalvelia.
