Charbagh to Vasantkunj Metro: Work has started on the blue line corridor project of Lucknow Metro. UPMRC has completed ground work and tender process. On completion of construction in five years, about one million people will get the benefit of fast and safe journey.

Lucknow Metro Blue Line: Good news for Lucknow people! The problem of the road jam of the capital is going to decrease further. Preparations for the construction of the East-West Corridor of the metro from Charbagh to Vasantkunj have intensified. UPMRC has completed the ground work and the tender process has also started. Know the big benefits you get from this new corridor.

One million people will be benefited from the blue line metro corridor

According to reports, about 10 lakh passengers will benefit daily on the completion of this project. The special thing is that the construction work of this corridor has been targeted to be completed in about 5 years. There is also a plan to start metro service before this.

The UPMRC team has been working on the East-West Corridor for the last 7 months. During this time the investigation of pipeline, soil testing and all obstacles has been completed. Traffic flows and bottle neck points have been marked by dividing the entire route into four parts so that passengers do not face problems even during construction.

Underground station will be constructed through high -tech machines

UPMRC MD told the media that the tunnel boring machine (TBM) would be used for the underground station. The vibration of these machines will be so low that the truck passing on the road will have less effect. He claimed that this process would neither harm the houses nor any kind of cracks. Stringing technology will also be used if needed.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the entry and exit points of the station will be built within a distance of 150 meters. With this, passengers will not have to cover an additional distance.

Blue line will also work in medical emergency

After the Metro's PGI route is built, this facility will also be effective during medical emergency. With direct connectivity from the airport to the old Lucknow, patients will be able to reach KGMU, PGI and other big hospitals faster.

Lucknow needs 100 to 125 km metro connectivity

According to the Compress Mobility Plan (CMP) sent to the government, Metro connectivity is currently required in Lucknow from 100 to 125 km. Under this, it has been proposed to construct 2-3 corridors in the first phase.
