The US Open 2025 began on August 24 and will go on till September 7. Tennis fans from across the globe have been lining the stands in order to get a meet and greet with the who's and who's of the tennis world.
A video from the tournament has been making rounds all over social media where a man takes away a signed cap from a young fan gifted to him by player Kamil Majchrzak . The move has sparked backlash and put Piotr Szczerek , the Polish CEO of his company Drogbruk under heavy criticism.

Piotr Szczerek family life

Szczerek co-founded Drogbruk with his wife Anna in 1999. The company works in paving and landscaping and is popular for its sports sponsorships and programs that support young athletes.
Drogbruk has years of experience in paving and fencing, focusing on reliability, commitment and professional approach. Its services include driveways, sidewalks and fence installations.
While the couple has a very successful professional life, not much is known about their personal life which they keep private.
Why is Piotr Szczerek trending?

The controversy over the Polish CEO began after Majchrzak won over ninth-seeded Karen Khachanov. While signing autographs, he handed his signed cap to a young boy named Brock. However, before he could receive it, Szczerek took it and placed it in his partner's bag.
The act that was recorded in a video went viral, leading to the CEO being called a "scammer", "thief", and "shameful jerk" on a Polish job search platform by his own countrymen, along with global outrage over his act.
When Majchrzak got hold of the information, he used his social media account to trace the young boy, reuniting with him at the stadium and gifting him a replacement signed cap, a bag of memorabilia and even photos.
People across the world have been highlighting the contrast between the two men, one who took away a cap from a child and another who went great lengths to ensure he had it again.
