After nearly ten years away from the film industry, Geeta Basra is set to make her return with the movie Mehar, directed by Rakesh Mehta.

The 41-year-old actress expresses her joy at stepping back into her 'happy place' in front of the camera, a decision she made after taking time off to prioritize her family life and children. She attributes her successful return to the unwavering support from her husband, Harbhajan Singh, who has transitioned from cricket to politics.

Basra emphasized the significance of having a reliable support system for women re-entering the workforce after motherhood. She feels fortunate to have a supportive partner who encourages her ambitions, stating, 'You do what you have to do, and I’m there to look after the kids.'

Following Mehar, she is also preparing for another Hindi film, currently titled Awasthi vs Awasthi.
