JKSSB JE Exam Postponed: The Junior Engineer (Civil) Recruitment Examination has been postponed once again by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board. This exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 31 August, but it was later rescheduled for 7 September 2025. Now this exam has been postponed again due to bad weather.
Impact on more than 500 posts
The recruitment process for Civil Junior Engineer posts is being conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB). Through this recruitment process, a total of 508 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be filled in the Public Works (R&B) Department and the Jal Shakti Department of Jammu and Kashmir. But the board has clarified in a notice issued on its official website jkssb.nic.in, that in view of the current weather conditions, it has been decided to postpone the examination.
Why was the exam postponed?
The board has written in its notice that it is not safe to conduct the examination in view of heavy rains and adverse weather conditions. Therefore, the exam has been postponed. Now the candidates have to wait for the next date. The board has said that the new exam date will be announced in due time.
What should the candidates do?
JKSSB has advised all the candidates to keep a regular watch on the official website and keep checking the notice. It has also been made clear that the information about the new date will be given in time before the exam.
JE Recruitment Exam Pattern
A total of 120 questions will be asked in this recruitment exam, and each question will be worth one mark. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours. The questions will be objective type (MCQ) and will be asked in the English language only. Apart from this, 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking for wrong answers.
