First read the latest information about this schemeThe Commission said in an official note that Pratibha Setu provides a platform to verified employers - ministries, public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies and private organizations - to select non-recommended candidates who are equally meritorious as the recommended candidates. It also provides a second gateway for UPSC candidates to shine beyond the examination. Under the scheme, the government and private companies will get information about the talents who cleared all the stages of the UPSC examination but failed to make it to the final merit list.
UPSC's Pratibha Setu was earlier known as Public Disclosure Scheme (PDS). Earlier, UPSC released the list of non-recommended candidates of selected examinations on its website under the Public Disclosure Scheme. These were the candidates who had passed the written examination but were not recommended after the interview.
Now the Commission will provide login ID to the organization for voluntary selection/recruitment of non-recommended candidates. Apart from this, private organizations can also register on their own using the Commission's portal.

- The full form of Pratibha is Professional Resource and Talent Integration- Bridge for Hiring Aspirants (PRATIBHA).
What is Pratibha Setu Yojana?
- Under this scheme, the details of the talented candidates who missed the final merit list of eight UPSC examinations will be shared with employers including private companies. With its help, these employers will be able to select the right candidate. Earlier it was known as Public Disclosure Scheme, which started from 20 August 2018. Now its name and format has been changed.
What changed between before and now?
- Earlier, only listing was done on the website. Now, registered companies will get a login ID. The portal dashboard will have the facility of notification, short listing, selection and rejection.
