Parenting Tips: Drinking milk is very important for the health of the child in the early years. Milk rich in calcium is also a good source of vitamin D, and provides protein and phosphorus. Drinking milk strengthens the bones of the child, increases immunity, and is also necessary for the formation of teeth. Along with mother's milk or a child who does not drink mother's milk, 1-2 glasses of milk are given in a day. But growing children often start refusing to drink milk. When the child sees everyone else drinking tea, he starts asking for tea. In such a situation, the mother adds a little tea to a glass of milk and gives it to the child. But, is it right to do this for the child's health? Children's doctor Pawan Mandaviya is telling about this. You, too, should know what Dr. Pawan Mandaviya has to say about adding tea to milk and feeding it. Should we add tea to milk and give it to our child?

Dr. Pawan Mandaviya said that when tea is added to a glass of milk to feed the child, it changes the colour of the milk, the milk does not smell, and the taste of the milk also changes. Due to this, the child finishes the entire milk quickly. If we look at it practically, then mixing a little tea in milk and feeding it will not have much effect. But the problem will come when the child becomes addicted to it (Tea Addict) and will start insisting on drinking tea.

Sleep-related problems

Tea contains caffeine, which is a strong stimulant, leading to sleep disorders in children. The child is unable to sleep at night, remains angry throughout the day, remains anxious, and at the same time, the child remains hyperactive. Due to this, behavioral disorders like PTSD are also seen in the child.

Lack of nutrition
If you add tea to your child's milk and feed it to him, it can lead to a lack of nutrients in the child. This is because tea is an appetite suppressant, which reduces appetite. The child does not eat food throughout the day, due to which he does not get the necessary nutrients.

Anemia may occur
Tea contains tannins, which affect the absorption of calcium and iron. This can cause anemia in the child and also weaken the bones of the child. That is why doctors say that one should avoid giving tea mixed in milk to the child.
