Hyderabad: Expectations are soaring for Ghati, the upcoming action drama starring Anushka Shetty in the powerful role of Sheelavathi. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film features Vikram Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, and Chaitanya Rao in key roles. Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi under First Frame Entertainment, and presented by UV Creations, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 5.

At a press meet, director Krish described Ghati as a story born out of the raw and intense spirit of the Eastern Ghats. He said, “Anushka has given one of the finest performances of her career. Her role of Sheelavathi will be remembered alongside her iconic characters. We are going to show her universal form in this film.” Praising his team, Krish also highlighted the work of writer Chintakinda Srinivasa Rao, production designer Thota Tharani, dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra, and music director Sagar.


Jagapathi Babu, who plays a police officer, said the film stands out for its authenticity. “It has been shot in real locations, with every scene carrying intensity. Krish has written my role in a very unique way,” he added.

Marking his Telugu debut, Vikram Prabhu called the opportunity a dream come true. “I am a big fan of Anushka garu. Acting with her and being directed by Krish garu is very special for me,” he said. Chaitanya Rao expressed gratitude for being part of the project and shared that the audience will see a new dimension to his performance.

Producer Rajeev Reddy expressed confidence in the film’s impact, stating, “Anushka is truly the queen of this film. With Vikram, Jagapathi Babu, and Chaitanya adding strength, we believe Ghati will connect with the audience everywhere.”

With its combination of gripping emotions, powerful performances, and high-scale action, Ghati is gearing up to make a strong mark when it hits theaters on September 5.
